Over the past several weeks, the global memory (RAM) and SSD market has been experiencing unprecedented volatility. Manufacturers are shipping in very limited quantities, and distributor pricing is changing rapidly—sometimes multiple times per day.

To continue serving our clients fairly and transparently, we’ve implemented special handling for memory and SSD orders.

What’s Happening in the Memory / SSD Market?

Global supply of memory and SSDs is severely constrained
Manufacturers are not shipping in normal quantities
Distributors are adjusting prices frequently and with little notice
Retail prices across the market have risen sharply as a result

This is an industry-wide issue affecting all resellers, not just our company.

How This Affects Your Order

To protect our customers and avoid surprise charges, we handle memory/SSD orders as follows:

Prices at checkout are not guaranteed
The price shown in your cart and at checkout reflects the latest information we have at that moment, but may not match final confirmed cost when we go to secure inventory.
Your card is only pre-authorized at checkout
At checkout, your card is not charged.
A temporary pre-authorization (hold) is placed to confirm funds.
We review pricing and availability manually before any payment is processed.
We confirm any price changes before charging
If supplier pricing or availability has changed, we will email you with updated pricing.
You can then choose to:
- Proceed with the updated price, or
- Cancel the order at no cost.
If you choose not to proceed (or do not respond within the specified time), the order is cancelled and the pre-authorization is released.

Backorders and Future Pricing

In some cases, certain memory modules are on backorder:

Manufacturers are not able to confirm firm ship dates
Future pricing cannot be guaranteed until inventory is actually allocated
We will always:
- Provide the best current price we can, and
- Reconfirm with you if pricing changes again before shipment

If you prefer to avoid backorders, we can help you select in-stock alternatives with similar performance.

For customers who prefer available inventory with confirmed, up-to-date pricing, we maintain a small allocation of select memory products with live pricing.
